Why · the principle

Structure the story; plant retention beats

Study of 1,000 outliers: the ONE shared trait was structural — a 'curiosity cliff' / incomplete loop (Zeigarnik effect), NOT thumbnail/title/idea/production. 87% had ≥3 curiosity loops, 94% a retention spike in min 2–4, 100% delivered the promise while opening new ones. Formula: Hook + Promise + Loop + Payoff + New Loop.

Taught by MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), Colin and Samir, Codie Sanchez

When I analyzed all these outliers, there was one thing they all had in common. And no, it wasn't the thumbnail, wasn't the title, wasn't even the idea... It was something baked into the structure of the video itself. I call it the curiosity cliff.
